Most often there is only one old photograph in the album, and many heirs. Everyone would like to own the original, but you know that it is physically impossible.
You can always make a digital scan, which will in no way capture the character of the old photo. That is why I suggest a different solution – ask me to make you a cyanotype of your family vintage photos. Cyanotype belong to the group of noble photographic techniques that is placed somewhere in between of photography and painting.

How I work
I start working on the photo after you send me the scan of the photo. If it is in poor condition, I make the necessary retouching and color corrections. Then I make two negatives – for the brown of the skin and for the cyan. On the first day, I apply the cyanotype, first expose the brown layer, develop, tone and dry. The next day, I apply the cyanotype again, expose and fix.
